Thursday 15th December 2011 - Collection with Father Christmas We were be out with Father Christmas collecting money door to door for our male counterparts, Round Table. The money collected is used to make up food parcels for the elderly and less fortunate in Letchworth and the surrounding areas. We raised £293.95 from our evening. Bacon Butty Morning 2011
Every year we hold a bacon butty morning for charity. This year we raised £150 for the local Air Ambulance. Thank you to everyone for coming.
Pamper Night & Christmas Shopping Event 2011

A fantastic evening was had by all at Evergreen Wellness Centre on Friday 18th November. It was a relaxing evening of pampering and Christmas shopping. We raised £650 for Sands, the charity that supports anyone affected by the death of a baby and promotes research to reduce the loss of babies' lives. Sarah, the Chair of Letchworth Circle, said, "It was good to see so many ladies come and support such a good cause and be pampered at the same time." Thank you to Karyn at Evergreen for allowing us to use her premises. |

Shoeboxes are covered in Christmas paper and filled to the brim with toys, toiletries and other items for children around the world. This year we made 40 parcels, that's double what we made last year! Fantastic result. |
Quiz Night 2011
| A fun night was had by all at our Annual Charity Quiz Night. Final figures for the amount raised for Charity are still being calculated but it is in excess of £600 which is a great result. So many local and national charities will benefit from this money. |

At our Pots of Art evening in February we are presenting a cheque for £500 to the Libra Support Group. The evening was also attended by families linked to the charity. |

Helping Father Christmas
On the evening of Monday 6th December many of us braved the cold weather (-3 on the night!) and assisted Father Christmas collecting money for food parcels. These food parcels are distributed to the elderly and people in need in Letchworth and the surrounding areas. We raised just over £280 on the night. Round Table (our male equivalent) spend two weeks in December collecting with Father Christmas. If you know of a man that may be interested in Table go to our links page to visit their site.

Spuds & Sparklers with a little extra!

On the 4th November we held a spuds and sparklers evening. Lovely jacket potatoes with lots of yummy fillings plus pretty sparklers. We also made up 21 parcels for the Samaritans Operation Christmas Child. |

Midas Marathon
Our Chair Sharon had the pleasure of presenting Richard of Midas Marathon with a cheque for £270.00. Our sister group, Tangent, also presented a cheque for £433.85 on the night. Swishing Night
Our latest Swishing party was a great success, we raised £146 for charity which will be split between Cancer Research UK and the MS Society. The Art of Swishing involves getting your friends together to swap gorgeous clothes and accessories and partying at the same time. Save money, save the planet, have a swishing party!
